From 21-27 September Australia will observe Dementia Action Week 2020. September is also observed as World Alzheimer’s Month. In support of these, the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) is hosting a webinar Dementia – A Patient Centred Approach in collaboration with Arjo.

Training and development is our highest priority. Through our global Academy, we have recently run a series of webinars covering improving caregiver workflow, mitigating cross-contamination, the impact of early mobilisation on rehabilitation, reducing the risk of patient handling associated injury and more.

Moyola Aged Care staff and residents recently trialled the use of the Wellness Nordic Relax Chair year. After a two-week evaluation of the chair Moyola Aged Care were so impressed by the improvement in resident’s behaviour that they began fundraising in order to purchase the chair and make it a permanent fixture.
